PKMetal I had never heard of Kimaera before coming across this album. Based on this release alone, I'd gladly call them the best metal band from Lebanon. The cover of Ya Beirut is just stunning.

On looking up more about Kimaera, I was heartbroken to learn that a terrible tragedy struck just before this release. I'm so sorry. Know that this album stands as a beautiful tribute to the fallen.

We have crossed the vast lands and sea Both the general and the lover in me Turned away from glory's ray Drunk at your feet, my sword I lay All for thee, temptress and vile Oh you Divine queen of the Nile For ages to come this tale shall shine Egypt and Rome forever entwined Bearing their eagle high Legions fought the battle of Activm Galleys wrecked, blood been shed Scattered at the shore, Osiris and Isis have bled We have come this far But the tides have turned The Gods have forsaken us Into the pit of despair My head is bowed Misfortune I shall bare Embraced with wine and gold With a serpent's bite Let my fate unfold I am so shamed and hollow My hordes are lost My wretched heart shall follow Bearing their eagle high Legions fought the battle of Activm Galleys wrecked, blood been shed Scattered at the shore, Osiris and Isis have bled This epic tale of love and war And all the tragedies we bore Shall be carved with blood in stone Your legacy as eternal as my own All for thee, temptress and vile Oh you Divine queen of the Nile For ages to come this tale shall shine EGYPT and ROME forever entwined

We have come for ROME Across the Rubicon The almighty Caesar Divine Imperator Let the die be cast They shall feel my wrath Let the die be cast ROME is mine at last Sing the hymns of war Sing of honor and more Play the drums of war Tales of glory and more Alea Iacta Est The point of no return Here to draw the line To reclaim what's mine Alea Iacta Est ROME is mine at last The twin legion marches on The time has come, It shall be done

Caput Mvndi 08:20
Distant echoes of ancient glories The eternal city that ruled the world Timeless epic tales of lust and war Of Gods that once walked among us Her pride lies deep within her ruins That stood the test of time Her light shines brighter than the sun For all to see, for all to believe From Jerusalem and Judea To Dacia and Britannia And the sands of Africa One rule! One empire! Jupiter stands tall foes shall fall Live by his word, or die by the sword The gods have spoken, the eagle shines Her majesty rises and forth she rules ROMA locvta est! Cavsa finita est! Vrbs aeterna! Capvt mvndi! All shall bow to her might To the glory of her sight Power, art and civilization A marble city of yearning and hope ROME will stand to the last day of Man If ROME falls, darkness shall prevail Her pride lies deep within her ruins That stood the test of time Her light shines brighter than the sun For all to see, for all to believe
